There are several beaches and swimming places within a mile of Myrtleville. The most central one is in Myrtleville itself. It is a sandy beach and is favoured by bathers of all ages.
Poulgorm.
The deep water and potential for diving in Poulgorm makes it the favourite spot for strong swimmers. It is just a few hundred yards from Myrtleville
The Creek.
Just a hundred yards from Myrtleville beach, this spot offers more privacy. a little further on there is a stony beach in Fennels Bay.
Fountainstown.
A mile from Myrtleville there is a large expanse of firm sand which is tidal. The ideal place to get away from it all for a day. Bring a picnic.
