Situated in a sheltered bay that is warmed by the Gulf Stream, the village of Myrtleville is located 15 miles south of Cork City.  The nearest petrol station is in Carrigaline,and there are three Banks and a large supermarket there also. Carrigaline is seven miles from Myrtleville. There is a regular bus service to within a half mile of Myrtleville.
